Feeling down? There are some simple ways to instantly feel happy. One of them includes high heels. What are the rest? Let’s find out, shall we?

There are many ways to feel happier. It all depends on your personal preferences and character. But, there are some things that should be working better than others. If you are reading this, chances are you like fashion and you very much like high heels.

So this is the first life hack – dress up! Take some time and choose your best or most favorite outfit. Or experiment with something completely new. Take full enjoyment of the feeling of slipping on your favorite pair of high heels which makes you feel like you can conquer the entire world! Put on a pair of thigh high boots. They are probably the best way to feel powerful and sexy at the same time. Or, again, experiment! Try out various high heels to find out the best way you feel better.

You don’t even have to go shopping. Explore your own collection and simply take time to enjoy your fabulous look. We are feeling better already even when just thinking about it! Better yet, add some red lipstick. A French study from 2013 says that lipstick increases the levels of estrogen and gives a more positive reception of the face, thus making you feel even better.

After a long day of work or walking, especially in high heels, your legs will be very tired. Spend some time massaging your calves. This will make you feel much better and more relaxed in an instant. It would be even better if you ask your loved one to do it. This will bring some positive emotions for the both of you.

Afterwards, thank them with a special gift. Yes, buying cool stuff for loved ones brings much bigger pleasure than buying for yourself. That’s what a study from 2008 claims and we generally agree.

The fifth one is kind of obvious but many people neglect it. Simply listen to an upbeat song! Yes, sometimes you feel like listening to some sad songs which better correspond to your mood. But they can simply tie you in the sadness. Instead, put on something more fresh and upbeat and let the rhythm take you over!

Bonus tip: Buy yourself a bag of mixed nuts and eat them. They will increase the levels of serotonin in your brain and you will feel better. Plus they are healthy. Also, get some citrus fruit. Even just the smell of it will make you feel happier. Oh, yes, and you can do all of that in your favorite outfit and high heels. Even some dancing to your favorite song. Now how’s that for motivation?
