Walking in heels is one thing but being able to dance in high heels is a completely different story. If you want to be able to dance in high heels and do it well, you will have to practice a lot.

As with walking, dancing in high heels is all about posture and body placement. We have selected a few videos from pros that will show you how to dance and minimize the risk of injuries.

It all begins with the heels. If you’re just beggining to dance in high heels, then choose shoes with relatively low heels. Also it’s better if the heels are chunky.

Only go for proper thin heels when you feel comfortable enough with the moves and extra tension that comes with dancing in heels. Also place most of your body weight on the toes. You don’t want to have too much weight on the heels as you may lose your balance like that.

First start with a few simple steps to get the flow and get used to the heels. Notice that when LaShonna is walking, her toes are dead straight. Your toes must also point straight. The rest is practice and getting used to the moves.

As you cover the basics you will start to want to do more complex dances. But again, don’t rush. Take your time. You don’t want to look foolish or weird while you dance, right? So lets take it to the next level with Dana Alexa.

Now these moves might not be exactly for a club, but mastering them will make you even more comfortable and confident when you dance in high heels. You will be able to improvise and modify the moves according to the given song and you will have fun while dancing which is the whole point, right?

And what if you want to go all out? Then you must be ready to bring it. Here’s a video from Keaira LaShae who will show you how to perform some of the more complex moves you see in music videos. Be ready for a workout as these ain’t easy.

And finally, here’s something even more complex. The so called shuffling but in high heels. This is only for the very experienced, but it’s mainly to show you what is possible when you train hard enough.
