High heels often get scolded for being uncomfortable, yet they remain the most popular type of shoes. If worn with moderation, i.e. not every single day, and have been chosen properly, then they have minimal risk for your feet and will make you look and feel like a million bucks.
But there are so many types and options, it’s insane! It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of possible heels to choose from. Here are the five pairs of high heels that will always be useful.
Pumps and Stilettos
They look superb for almost all types of events and outfits. You simply can’t go wrong with a classic pair of black high heels either pumps or stilettos. They go well with dresses, skirts, pants, but can be a bit challenging to walk, especially if they are higher. So, you have to have at least some experience with high heels and/or practice walking in them at home before the event.
Cone high heels
The inverted cone shaped high heels are great if you want some extra height and more comfort. Cone heels usually are lower and have wider area on the heel, making walking and balancing easier. They are great for the office or a casual day out.
They are the lowest high heels of them all. This makes them perfect for the office or a day where you will have to stand up and/or walk a lot, but need to look stylish. They work great with dresses and skirts.
Ah, boots. The ultimate seducer and arguably the ultimate footwear. You need at least one pair of plain, knee high black leather boots for the winter. You can have them with all types of high heels you desire. They too work great with pretty much all outfits.
Here we include all types of platform shoes, including wedges. The exact style depends on your taste. Wedges are great for casual days out and about, but can be a bit difficult to walk a lot with. A pair of classic high heels with a small to medium platform is ideal for adding some extra height and a little bit of provocativeness to your look. Higher platforms are for clubs and daring outfits, if you are up for that. Low and medium platforms can even be suitable for the office or events, plus they make walking a little bit easier.
