Wild boots take the top spot for pre-fall 2016 trendsEven though the year is just beginning shoe trends for fall and pre-fall are already in. Boots and booties with wild designs are taking the top spot.

Suede, pastel colors, fringe, laces, fur. These are just a small part of the ideas that are incorporated into even one pair of pre-fall 2016 boots and booties.

Brian Atwood’s collection is a prime example of these new ideas. The Leoni peep-toe bootie pictured above is exactly what we meant. This year all kinds and heights of boots will be in. So you can rock thigh high boots, knee boots, calf boots, booties, you name it. Each has different mini trends.

For example, most booties are with open toes, leather details. High boots are mostly suede. Colors are pastels, very dense and striking. Extra details like buckles, bands, visible, thick stitches, zippers in different colors are also often seen.

Some collections, like Valentino’s for example, will be inspired by time periods like the 1970s. Gucci is going for emerald leather, luxe. Other brands go for something new. It doesn’t matter what, just as long as it is new and not tried before. So you may see booties with “melting” high heels like the ones of Christopher Kane’s pre-fall 2016 collection.

2016 will be the year of experiments with boots and you will see all possible and some impossible combination between styles, heels, materials and colors. Will women actually like them, though? Probably some of the boots, but not the most risqué. But who knows, maybe the unusual will be liked this time around.
