Rihanna is a big fan of Manolo Blahnik. She has worn his high heels for about six years now and has been seen in all kinds of outfits wearing them. Now she’s taking her fandom to new heights.
Rihanna and Blahnik have created a new six-piece high heel collection, NY Mag reports. The collection features denim, embroidery and lots of other subtle details. They are inspired from the singer’s tattoos and personal ideas.
But while the details might be subtle, there is nothing subtle about the high heels themselves. You have some stylish strapped high heels, but also denim high heeled booties on a very, very thin heels. The crown jewel in the collection is the pair of thigh high denim boots that are almost like chap boots. They too feature very thin and challenging heels.
Unsurprisingly they are Rihanna’s favorite. “Those boots are dangerous! If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots! You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble,” she said.
The styles are pricier than her hit Puma design, though, ranging from $895 to $3995. Look for them to be available on May 5 in Blahnik’s stores in New York, the U.K., and Hong Kong.
If you do like Rihanna’s new high heels collection and by something from it, then be sure to wear it proudly. If Rihanna happens to see you somewhere, even if just walking down the street, she will make sure to meet you right there and then. Rihanna said that she is excited for the day she sees a woman on the street wearing her shoe designs. “I am sorry for that woman, because I’m going to literally run after her, shouting, ‘Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?’ I’m going to have a moment!” she joked to British Vogue.
