Celebrities continue to get more and more brave with their fashion choices. Leather and latex are one of their current favorites for daring outfits.
With that said, leather especially can also be very elegant and stylish. Latex can also pull off an elegant look, but it still screams provocativeness all the way.
Just these past few days we have seen quite a few celebrities rocking leather or latex. Some of them even did it more than once in the same week. This goes to show how much latex and leather are in style right now.
The good thing, at least for us, is that both fabrics look and feel so good, they don’t seem to be going away anytime soon. Especially when celebrities continue to show them off in more and more outfits.
Fashion model Bella Hadid is spearheading this trend. She was seen in New York rocking a pair of leather pants, matched with a stylish crop top and bomber jacket.
Bella was wearing a pair of black strappy high heels to add even more flair to her already great look. Her makeup was also minimal as were her jewelry. It was a great mix of casual and sexy looks which suited her quite well.
But that wasn’t the only time Bella opted for one of the two daring fabrics this week. She appeared in a tight black latex mini dress at the Met Gala after party. Completing her stunning looks were a pair of black high heels.
Bella had her hair loose and pulled off her runway walk. Naturally everyone noticed her curves which were accented even more by the latex dress.
But, as we said, leather can also be very elegant. Actress Eisa Davis showed us a great example of this at the 31st annual Lucille Lortel Awards at NYU Skirball Center in New York City. She looked absolutely gorgeous in a long leather dress.
Eisa was wearing a maroon leather dress which fell below her knees and highlighted her curves. She teamed it with a pair of eye-catching black and yellow high-heeled sandals which added a few inches to her height.
Another great example was by American actress Kathryn Erbe. She was also at the 31st annual Lucille Lortel Awards at NYU Skirball Center in New York City. Kathryn chose a black leather knee-length dress and teamed it with nude pointed-toe heels and a stylish beaded bracelet.
Kathryn kept her look really simple as she decided not to wear much accessories. She was wearing her short locks down in vintage curls with a centre-part, while she opted for a neutral palette of makeup to highlight her features.
And finally, back to latex with a bang! Beyonce rocked a stunning latex gown at the 2016 Met Gala. It was showing off her curves in the most stunning ways.
We are not that sure about the color as black or red might have been better, but still. It was an amazing dress which Beyonce handled with ease.
There’s even a video to help you appreciate her beauty even more:
