Another year, another Met Gala event. This year the name is quite long: The Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination Costume Institute Gala. Whew. Happily the rest is quite simple – impressive celebrities in high heels.
This year the Met Gala was even more impressive. Given the name, you can guess that religion was heavily involved in many fashion choices.
This is bound to have its fair share of discussions. Since we believe fashion is and should be a form of expression, we’ve chosen the most expressive outfits and celebs. The ones we feel have picked up their looks with care and respect and are not simply trying to draw attention with controversy.
A great example is Priyanka Chopra. She opted for a tasteful and elegant long dress and a cape.
The dress kept her footwear well hidden the entire time. Priyanka rocked accenting makeup to complete her look.
Of course not everyone opted to poke religion. Some celebs just rocked the most impressive gowns they could find. As evident here:
Gabrielle Union also impressed with a long elegant yellow dess. It also featured a very long train behind her.
Gabrielle rocked a pair of elegant ankle-strapped yellow high heels, too. They were on a small platform to complete her look.
Olivia Munn also impressed with a long metallic dress. And a knight-style mesh, too.
Quite the outift and dress. Olivia also impressed with heaveier makeup and matching heels.
Rita Ora also rocked quite the dress. It was mainly drawing attention because of the looong train.
A very long train for the dress. It was quite the pickle to handle, but Rita managed it.
Hailee Steinfeld was also as incredible as ever. She rocked a princess-style dress with a tiara and a long train.
Oh, and also a pair of sky high platform high heels. Very high heels, in fact.
Ming Xi looked very elegant in a long pink dress. It was a classic fairytale style dress.
And it looked absolutely great.
Hailey Baldwin also rocked a princess-like dress. It was a shoulderless piece and with, you guessed it, a long train.
Hailey also opted for ankle-strapepd platform high heels. This time they were silver.
Aurora James and Solange Knowles also impressed with quite the outfits.
Including thigh high boots, furry heels and a lot more.
Some celebs opted for more classic styles. Like a little black dress with a twist.
Oh, and lots of sky high heels, of course. Where would we be without them!
The impressive celebrities list continues with Lili Reihnhart and her beautiful silver dress. And the matching high heels, of course.
And also Julia Stegner and Natasha Poly. Both of them wowed in long colorful dresses and strapped high heels.
Cindy Crawford wowed in a fitted leather-like red dress.
Jennifer Lopez was also as stunning as ever. She also rocked platform high heels which are a top choice for many celebs lately.
Emily Ratajkowski also stuck true to her style. All in silver and rocking high heels.
Kim Kardashian wowed in a gold sequin dress. And heels, of course.
Aslhey Graham rocked brozne and looked golden.
Bella Hadid made quite the headlines over the past few similar events with her revealing and daring dresses. This time she opted to keep the imagination going without showing too much.
This year Kendall Jenner also preferred not to go for daring dresses. Instead, she rocked a fitted pantsuit.
Last, but not least, Kate Moss also wowed with her look. She rocked a classic short black dress.
And she teamed with with elegant strapped high heels.
Overall the 2018 Met Gala was quite the event. There were so many impressive celebrities in high heels at the event… So many, we are not even sure if we’ve seen all of the best. It’s quite possible that we’ve missed someone. But that’s the price we pay at such crowded events.
