You know it’s coming: The five iconic supermodels in gold at the Versace fashion show

They are making quite a lot of news. The five iconic supermodels who came back as a special surprise to close Versace’s latest Fashion Show in Milan.

Donatella Versace closed the show with a classic 90s throwback. She managed to gather five of the greatest supermodels of the era (and all time) for the surprise.

Carla Bruni, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen and Claudia Schiffer wowed the crowd when they appeared at the end of the fashion show. All of them rocked one of Versace’s all-time classic golden gowns.

It was for a special reason. This was Donatella’s way to honor her late brother Gianni Versace who was murdered 20 years ago. The metal mesh dress are actually one of his most famous fashion creations.

Donatella joined the supermodels as they walked the runway to George Michael’s hit song “Freedom.” Back in the 1990s, both Crawford and Campbell starred in the song’s music video. It also played as the soundtrack to Versace’s Fall/Winter runway show in 1991, the Today notes.

All five of the ladies dazzled with their golden dresses. Each was a slightly different style to suit their looks. All of them rocked golden high heels in similar styles – either strapped or classic pumps.

And all five of them looked as great as ever. This is how a throwback is done.
